We provide Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility which is a set of dll files for the operating system to properly name the hardware on the chipset, however this is not a chipset driver.

In such case, updating Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility (which actually does not update anything if Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility has been already installed in a system) should have no effect on the system configuration to cause a behavior like the one you are reporting.

In that case, you should check with your computer manufacturer in order to see that the system is configuration properly or to set it back to their defaults so it will work the way they designed it to operate.
