In summary, it may work but it is hard to tell. Windows updated my storage driver to version 13.2 but I lost the functionality of the console application. "Contacting my motherboard manufacturer?" Are you serious?

As far as the actual chipset drivers are concerned, everything appears to be working since upgrading from Windows 7. Yes, it's a shame the X58 support has ended. My old i7 system still runs circles around some of the latest dual core boards.
