Re: Intel i7 chipset problematic with Windows 8.1

Thanks for your help and advice. The Bluetooth and fingerprint sensor did once work on this notebook computer with Windows 8.1 before Windows 8.1 committed suicide. After reinstallation of Windows 8.1 the Bluetooth and finger print sensor no longer worked.

Windows 8.1 has a problem which appears to be creeping erosion of resources which manifests itself in high RAM usage and 100% disk usage. Many users report this problem n internet forums. This is appearing again since reinstallation. I have 8 GB RAM and 600 GB disk so there should not be a problem.

I really don't trust Windows 8.1 and consider it a total crock. Furthermore, Microsoft never appears to address these issues and I am yet to be able to fix anything from MS support site. The other stakeholders Intel and HP don't do any better.

I am reluctant to do a full restore because it is so laborious to reinstall everything and I don't have certainty that a full restore will fix the problems.

I reiterate that Windows 8.1 is a total crock because it has a problem with excessive resource usage which MS has willfully avoided fixing.
