Hello TFS, it is important to tell you that Intel® Matrix Storage Manager is an older software version of the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology. You can keep using Matrix, however Rapid is easier to use and it allow you to monitor the health of your RAID volume and/or hard drives.

Since you have Intel(R) ICH7R/DH SATA RAID Controller I would recommend you to try version 9.6 of the Intel® Rapid Storage

The latest Intel® Rapid Storage version that this chipset can use will be 11.7, just in case.
