Hi Kevin!
Unfortunately, the problem persists...
Steps to reproduce:
- have 1 non-RAID system boot drive (SSD) plus 2 RAID drives (HDDs), "matrix RAID" in my case (stripe+mirror), total 3 physical drives;
- Windows 8.1, maybe 8.0 too (absolutely no issue with any Intel driver version on Windows 7!);
- Shut down Windows, either by button on PC case, or by Windows menu
-or-
Select the Sleep command in Windows menu.
While shutdown process (or while going to sleep), HDDs are getting parked as usual, then immediately start spinning again, and then PC is powering down.
Only the stock windows 8.1 driver (12.0.1.1018) does not have the issue, all newer versions do have.
With 12.0.1.1018, HDDs are getting parked, and then PC is powered down (no spin-up between).
The process is clearly noticeable by ear because I have quite noisy HDDs (WD Black Caviar model).
All system drivers are as latest as possible. The motherboard is 4 years old (Series 5 chipset) and there is no new BIOS update.
System report by Intel RST is attached to the message.
